Mission
Most people ask me, why go out of the way to leave your baseball career as an MLB prospect, or as one of the most well-known MLB prospects, to create and found a company in a completely different sector other than athletics?
It’s because, throughout my life, I have always seen a connection between how this planet is created and functions, life inside of it, and how humans act, think, and exist. And I believe that there is a connection between all of this in this great divine.
The obsession was mainly not just about creating something that would be revolutionary, but about being able to understand neurological signals and the patterns within them, which are similar variables to reality and similar variables to simple life on different scales, as well as things that we do not normally point out or see, but things that, just yet, exist.
I believe that there is a similarity within all variables of existence, and through learning about neurological signals, which is a new space that humanity has not been able to tap into, I have found that. And this obsession with understanding reality and the secrets of the brain has brought me to this place.
Even as a baseball prospect, even as an athlete, I have been able to see this, but through a different lens, one more focused on performance and being able to achieve an outcome. But now, since I have fully dived into it and begun understanding the way it functions, I am pleased to understand that I made the correct decision in creating this company and having success in creating the first text-to-thought beanie.

BEAIA
Founded in the Bay Area in 2025, BEAIA is a six person neurotechnology company working to change the way humans interact with technology. Founded by Blake Mallet, BEAIA uses EEG technology to capture and decode neurological signals, with the goal of turning brain activity into information that computers can understand. Our first focus has been thought to text, and we have now built a working prototype capable of translating neurological activity into text without requiring surgery or an implanted device. We expect to demonstrate the technology publicly within the next four months, but until then, BEAIA has remained in complete stealth. This is an incredibly competitive field, with some of the largest names in technology pursuing the broader problem of connecting the human brain with computers and artificial intelligence. Because of that, we have chosen to protect what we are building until the technology is ready to speak for itself. Behind the scenes, our team of six has spent the past year developing what we believe can become a fundamentally new way for people to communicate with machines, using the electrical activity already being produced by the human brain.
